How the Design Studio Works
The tool is built for merch chairs and chapter members, not designers. Every step is visible on screen, and nothing goes to production until you approve a proof. Here is how a chapter typically moves from idea to order:
Choose your product from hoodies, sweatshirts, tees, and tanks, and select your garment color from 18 standard swatches or enter a custom hex code for an exact chapter color match.
Switch between Front and Back views to design both sides of the garment independently.
Add your Greek letters using the built-in Greek alphabet panel, tap any letter to drop it into the text field, set your fill and outline colors, and place it on the garment.
Upload your chapter's crest, artwork, or logo directly into the print zone, or add text and shapes to build a design from scratch.
Download a Mockup PNG to share with chapter members for feedback, or export a Print 300 DPI file when you are ready.

02 — Add Your Greek
Add Your Greek Letters in One Tap
Most online design tools make you type Greek letters manually or hunt for a font that renders them correctly. The Design Studio has a built-in Greek alphabet panel with every letter from Alpha to Omega. Tap any letter to add it to your text field, set a fill color and a separate outline color for contrast, and place it on the garment exactly where you want it. Because the letters render in the tool the way they will print, what you see is what your chapter receives.
This matters most when you need to match your organization's exact letter style. Your ΑΦ, ΚΔ, or ΧΩ goes on the design in the color combination your chapter uses, not an approximation.
Can I add my organization's Greek letters directly in the Design Studio?
Yes. The Design Studio has a built-in Greek alphabet panel that covers every letter from Alpha to Omega. Tap any letter to insert it into the text field, choose a fill and outline color to match your chapter palette, and place it on the front or back of the garment. You do not need a separate font or file for your Greek letters.

The Design Studio covers every product Arete Greek makes: hoodies, sweatshirts, tees, and tanks across every style. Choose your product from the category panel on the left, pick a garment color from the swatch panel, and the garment updates in real time so you can see exactly how your color and design look together before you commit.
Switch between Front and Back at the top of the canvas to design both panels. A chapter hoodie with letters on the front and a crest on the back, a tee with the event name across the shoulders, a tank with the chapter name on the back, all of it is built in the same tool without switching between screens.
What garment colors are available in the Design Studio?
The Design Studio shows 18 standard garment colors including red, burgundy, maroon, cream, beige, white, black, baby pink, dark pink, sky blue, navy, heather grey, dark heather, cement grey, green, off white, and brown. If your chapter color does not match a standard swatch, enter a custom hex code and the tool previews the garment in your exact color. The same custom color matching applies when the order goes to production.
04 — Upload Your Chapter's
Upload Your Chapter's Crest or Start From Scratch
If your chapter has an existing crest, logo, or artwork file, upload it directly into the print zone. The tool accepts standard image formats, and the print zone shows exactly where the design will sit on the garment so nothing bleeds off the edge or sits too low.
For chapters that are starting fresh, the text tool, shape panel, and Greek letter panel give you everything you need to build a clean design without external software. Type your chapter name, add your letters, pick a color combination, and arrange the elements until the design looks the way you want it.
What file format should I upload for my chapter's logo or crest?
Upload your chapter's logo or crest as a PNG with a transparent background for the cleanest result. SVG files also work for vector artwork. If your chapter only has a JPG or a design file from a previous vendor, upload it and our team will review it during the free proof stage and flag any resolution or format issues before production begins.
05 — From Design to
From Design to Free Proof to Chapter Order
Every order that starts in the Design Studio ends with a free proof before anything is produced. When your design is ready, click Request Free Proof and our team prepares a production-ready version of your design, confirms the placement, and sends it back for your approval. Nothing prints until you sign off.
Once you approve the proof, the order moves to production in our certified facilities, covers every size your chapter needs from XS to 8XL, and ships as one delivery to a single chapter address. Split payment is available so members can pay their own share rather than one person collecting from the group.
What happens after I request a free proof?
After you request a free proof, our team reviews your design file, checks the placement on the garment, confirms the colors, and prepares a production-ready version. You receive the proof to review and approve before anything goes to print. If anything needs adjusting, you can request changes before production begins. The free proof is included on every order, at every quantity, with no additional charge.
Do I need design experience to use the Design Studio?
No. The Design Studio is built for chapter members who have never used design software. Every tool is visible on screen: pick a product, choose a garment color, add Greek letters from the built-in panel, upload artwork if you have it, and download a mockup to share with your chapter. If your design needs professional refinement before production, our team reviews it during the free proof stage and can adjust placement or clean up files before anything prints.
Can I save my design and come back to it later?
Yes. You can save your design at any point and return to it before placing your order. This makes it easy to share a saved design with your chapter president, exec board, or the whole group for input before you request a proof, rather than finalizing everything in one sitting. Many merch chairs build an initial version, export a Mockup PNG to share in the chapter group chat, collect feedback on colors and placement, then return to the Design Studio to make adjustments before requesting the free proof.
